Hola Hola Literatura
A festival that brings together books, nature and helping others
Hola, hola, literatura! is an arts festival organised by the Pankracy Foundation, bringing together literature, art, nature and social action. The event was created from a desire to celebrate free time, human connection and collective action for children from children’s homes supported by the Pankracy Foundation. The third edition of the festival took place on 22–25 July 2026.
Hola, hola, literatura! is not an ordinary festival. We call it a community festival because what matters to us is an atmosphere of closeness, freedom and togetherness. We want to celebrate leisure, the beauty of nature and the joy of the written and spoken word: poetry, prose, drama, music, illustration and conversation. Literature becomes an invitation to meet, slow down and look at the world with greater attentiveness.
The event takes place in Hola, surrounded by nature, local history and the landscape of Polesie. The setting gives the Festival its unique character. Author talks, workshops, walks, artistic activities and conversations all take place close to nature, away from the rush and overload of everyday life.
Writers, artists, nature guides, cultural facilitators, local creators and people who believe that culture can be a tool for building relationships come to Hola. Together, we create a space where literature meets nature, art meets local identity, and conversation meets genuine social engagement.
Hola, hola, literatura! also has a very concrete purpose. The Festival supports children and young people from children’s homes and care institutions supported by the Pankracy Foundation. It shows that helping others can take the form of a shared celebration, a creative gathering and an invitation for others to get involved.
The Festival programme includes literary workshops, author talks, walks, conversations and themed sessions led by invited guests. Previous editions have explored poetry, philosophy, botany, ornithology, music, fashion, dance and yoga, among other subjects. The Festival is also a space for local creators, artists and craftspeople.
We believe culture does not have to be distant or closed off. It can be close to people, children, families, local communities and nature. It can bring people together, open up conversations and build bridges between different experiences. That is why Hola, hola, literatura! is one of the Foundation’s most important events.
It is a festival about books, but also about being present. About a place that invites you to slow down. About people who come together simply to be together. And about young people for whom collective action can become real support.
